The State Post Bureau recently announced the third batch of model cities for express delivery, and Zhongshan became one of the four cities in Guangdong on the list.
In 2022, Zhongshan registered 871 million express parcels delivered, up 20.11% year on year; revenues of 7.394 billion yuan from express delivery business, up 9.94% year on year; and per capita express usage of over 340 parcels per year. Express delivery service satisfaction has been above 97 points in recent three years.
Zhongshan is home to 28 key express brands from home and abroad, with 18 mail and express parcel distribution (transit) processing centers, 71 express companies, 143 express branches, 1,246 registered terminal express outlets, as well as more than 20,000 express practitioners.
It is expected that Zhongshan's express business volume and express revenues will exceed 976 million parcels and 8.1 billion yuan in 2023 respectively.
