Sponsored by the Zhongshan Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau, Zhongshan Museum, Zhou Xueqing Embroidery Art Studio and the Zhongshan Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center, the Zhou Xueqing Embroidery Exhibition opened on June 10 at Zhongshan Museum and will last until August 20.
The exhibition features 40 pieces (sets) of embroidery artworks and collections of Zhou Xueqing, an arts and crafts master in Guangdong and an ICH successor in Zhongshan to help the public discover and understand the history, techniques and artistic styles of the embroidery art.
Over past years, Zhou Xueqing has been exploring the integration development of Suzhou Embroidery and Guangdong Embroidery. In May 2022, Guangdong Embroidery (Snow Imitation Embroidery) was listed as a representative ICH item of Zhongshan.
