Yesterday, Nanfang Daily published a large-scale symphonic poem titled Dr. Sun Yat-sen--- for Centenary of the 1911 Revolution. This symphonic poem, written by Qiu Shuhong, Director General of Zhongshan Publicity Department, has been listed as provincial-level key program in Guangdong Province to commemorate the centenary.
The poem, made up of nine chapters, has been composed by 6 famous composers and will be performed in Guangzhou, Zhongshan, etc. to celebrate Dr. Sun’s 145th birthday. The ninth chapter of The World Trend, composed by Su Chong, the first Chinese Oscar winner of music awards, and sung by famous baritone Liao Changyong, has been chosen as the theme song of a large-scale television series “The 1911 Revolution” that will be broadcasted on CCTV in October.
