Torch Development Zone signed 21 projects in the first quarter of 2024, with a total investment of 4.81 billion yuan.

The newly signed include twelve 100-million-yuan projects and two 1-billion-yuan ones, covering such sectors as photo-electronic information, high-end equipment manufacturing, healthcare and medicine, etc.

During the municipal investment promotion event held on March 28, the National Health Technology Park in Torch Development Zone signed a project launching agreement with Shenzhen-based company Thondar.

Thondar is a leading global unicorn company in ophthalmic techniques and teenage myopia prevention and control. Some 1.5 billion yuan will be invested in the project to integrate resources from the NHTP, Thondar and related parts and services enterprises to further complete the medical equipment industry chain.

At TDZ's commencement ceremony of major projects for the first quarter, 12 projects were launched, including Yuchuan's new energy vehicle retarder manufacturing base with a projected output value of 3 billion yuan.
