A ceremony marking the start of construction of the International UAV (Greater Bay Area) Intelligent Production Base was held in Zhongshan's Banfu Town on February 21.
He Gang, chairman of Zhongshan Feipai UAV Technology, said the project will be built into a full industrial chain, intelligent manufacturing base of unmanned aerial vehicle and equipment, with functions of production, education, research and exhibition.
The project occupies a land area of approximately 60 mu, with a building area of around 120,000 square meters. It aims to attract SRDI enterprises (enterprises with specialized, refined, differentiated and innovative characteristics) in the UAV industry as well as supporting small and medium-sized enterprises. It will include such facilities as international-level UAV production base, production base for supporting equipment, exhibition and trading center, and technology R&D and training center.
With a total investment of 500 million yuan, the project's annual output value is expected to reach 720 million yuan and annual tax revenue 27 million yuan upon completion.
