Construction began on the Shenzhen-Zhongshan intercity public transport hub at Zhongshan Expo Center on December 20. It marked the start of the construction phase of the most important transit hub of this cross-city bus system.
The public transport hub serves as the starting station of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan urban main line, and the original and terminal stations of 4 connection lines to Guzhen, Daxi and Dachong. It is an important public transport infrastructure for the seamless transfer between urban and intercity bus services.
The project is located in the northwest corner of the Zhongshan Expo Center, with sound environment and convenient traffic conditions. Buses will enter the hub through the existing entrance connecting to the Bo'ai Road side road and the dry stream side road. After boarding, buses will leave the hub through the west exit and enter Bo'ai Road through Xingzheng Road.
The construction is expected to be finished by the end of March 2024.
