2024 marks the 169th anniversary of Chinese arrival in Costa Rica. From May 13 to 15 in 2024, local time, the 12th Worldwide Zhongshan Association Convention, was held in San José, Costa Rica.
This is the first time that the conference has been held in Central and South America, bringing Zhongshan people both at home and aboard closer to their hometown and motherland, further enhancing the friendship between the people from China, Costa Rica and other countries, and promoting their cooperation in various fields.
During the event, the film records provided by the Convention Committee showcased the arduous struggles of Chinese immigrants in foreign lands, their deep love for their homeland over the past 169 years, and the touching moments of this convention.
