The Automobile Mechanic (Automobile Maintenance and Inspection) Competition of the first Zhongshan Vocational Skills Competition was held in West District on December 5, with 109 automobile maintenance technicians participating.
The competition was divided into theoretical exam and skills contest. The skills contest included two sections: assembly and power steering gear adjustment, and engine-starting failure diagnosis and troubleshooting.
First, second and third tier prizes and an overall winning prize will be given in this competition. The organizing committee entrusted the Zhongshan Human Resources and Social Security Bureau to bestow the honorary title of "Zhongshan Technical Expert" as an award and issue honorary certificates. The overall first place contestant will be honored with the "Xiangshan (Zhongshan) Craftsman of the Year" title, and all awarded contestants will be considered for the upcoming "Top 10 Craftsmen" and outstanding workers' nominations.
