The winners of the 18th Shanghai Decoration Design Competition (SDDC) were announced recently. EVA Architects' design work "Ardingly College Zhongshan" won the outstanding decoration design award for 2023.
Over 300 entries were submitted to the competition, covering various areas including public building decoration design, curtain wall design, residential decoration design and space exhibition design.
Ten works finally won awards in the public building decoration category. EVA Architects' project "Ardingly College Zhongshan" was the only educational building project selected as the outstanding award winner.
The design of Ardingly College Zhongshan embodies innovative, environment-friendly and user-friendly characteristics. It not only offers a comfortable learning environment for students but also showcases the modern style of an international educational building.
Ardingly College Zhongshan, with the educational gene of the prestigious, century-old Ardingly College in the UK, was established in Zhongshan's Qijiang New Town in the core part of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in September 2022. With a total investment of 1.2 billion yuan, Ardingly College Zhongshan includes kindergarten, primary school, junior high school and senior high school departments.
