The construction of a new school in Qijiang New Town, located on the east side of North Changjiang Road in East District, commenced on February 27 at the intersection of Changjiang Road, Dongyuan Road and Shawan Road.
As the first public education project fully invested by the town/district governments in Qijiang New Town, the school can accommodate 3,000 junior high school students.
With a total investment of 817 million yuan, the school occupies a land area of 46,812.3 square meters and has a building area of 72,611.8 square meters. It is an information-based boarding junior high school built in accordance with high standards.
The school will include 60 classes, with 50 students each, and such facilities as 3 teaching buildings, 2 dormitory buildings and 1 activity center. It is planned to open in September 2025.
