Erenumab, an innovative drug for the treatment of migraines, was recently introduced to Zhongshan Chenxinghai Hospital. Mr Tan, a resident of Shenzhen, was the first patient to receive this drug in Zhongshan.
The drug was delivered to Zhongshan Chenxinghai Hospital on September 9 through cold chain transport. Mr Tan made an appointment as soon as he learned the news from social media platforms, and he was administered with the drug on September 16 after diagnosis and examination.
According to Guo Pohong, health services section chief of Zhongshan Chenxinghai Hospital, the hospital has introduced a variety of the latest international medical products, including seven new drugs and one device, since the implementation of the Hong Kong and Macao Medicine and Equipment Connect program, benefiting not only Zhongshan residents but also patients from Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai and other places.
