Zhongshan's CPI in 2022 up 1.9% YoY

According to statistics released by the Zhongshan Investigation Team of the National Bureau of Statistics on January 19, Zhongshan's consumer price index (CPI) in 2022 grew steadily by 1.9% year on year.


Food prices were up 1.7%, non-food prices up 1.9%, prices of industrial products up 3.3%, and service prices up 1.0%. Non-food prices drove up the CPI by 1.57 percentage points as the key driver.


The prices of eight categories of goods and services all rose. Among them, prices of transportation and communications products and services were up 5.0%, prices of daily necessities and services up 3.0%, prices of educational, cultural and entertainment products and services up 1.8%, clothing prices up 1.7%, food, tobacco and alcohol prices up 1.4%, housing prices up 1.1%, prices of other supplies and services up 1.0%, and prices of healthcare products up 0.4%.
