The agreement signing ceremony for the strategic cooperation between the Zhongshan people's government and the Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine (GZUCM) was held in Zhongshan on June 2. The event also saw the signing of the agreement for the co-construction of the Tenth (Zhongshan) School of clinical medicine, GZUCM and the unveiling of the Zhongshan branch hospital of the First Affiliated Hospital of GZUCM.
According to the agreement, the Zhongshan people's government and GZUCM will make joint efforts to build such platforms as the GZUCM Zhongshan Science Park, the Tenth (Zhongshan) School of clinical medicine, GZUCM, the Zhongshan Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the GZUCM Zhongshan Sanxiang Hospital. Plans also include making breakthroughs in key areas such as TCM service system building, scientific research innovation, talent cultivation, discipline construction and industry-university-research integrated development.
